This Earth Day weekend get outside and celebrate the earth with eco-friendly games, crafts and activities from 10:00-1:00. At 10:30 and 12:00 take a one-mile birding walk with Golden Eagle Audubon Society to view the blue heron rookery at the West Boise Wastewater Treatment Plant. In and around the center participate in activities from our partners, such as plant trees, make paper, interact with a river model, paint a forest mural, and make and take a green cleaner! 11:00 AM  School Walking Challenge Kick-Off

Mayor David H. Bieter will kick off the “Let’s Move with FitOne” school walking challenge at 11 a.m. at Whitney Elementary School, 1609 S. Owyhee. The five-day walking challenge is sponsored by Let’s Move Boise in partnership with FitOne. Prizes will be awarded to schools with the highest participation and most miles walked. 4-8pm  Take Me Fishing Trailer
Idaho Fish and Game • McDevitt Pondr • N Eagle Rd and E McMillan Road
Stocked with equipment and information, Idaho Fish and Game’s “Take Me Fishing” trailers travel to local ponds across the state. Wrapped with vibrant fish illustrations, they’re hard to miss. Getting kids excited about fishing will build a new generation of anglers. The only thing kids and their parents have to do is show up! The fishing equipment can be checked out for free during the scheduled times listed for your area. Reservations are not needed and equipment is checked out on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be granted a permit to fish without a license. If kids get “hooked on fishing” after the event, parents will have to purchase a license.
